HEROES Treasury Update
Following the recent changes around the COTI Treasury, we have decided to pause the HEROES Treasury for now, not close it.
Before we pause, we are making one final payout to our NFT holders.
The Treasury generated 1,090 COTI this month. Normally, 80% would go back to holders and 20% would be kept to help cover project costs such as the website and other maintenance.
For this final payout, we are giving up our 20% share and adding extra COTI ourselves.
As a thank you for the belief, trust and support our holders have shown HEROES, we are doubling this month’s Treasury earnings and distributing 2,180 COTI to our NFT holders.
The remaining Treasury funds will stay safely in the wallet while we wait to see whether @COTInetwork introduces a suitable and sustainable way for Treasury rewards to continue.
We also looked at the current KuCoin COTI staking option. The 18% APR is attractive, but it is currently a temporary promotion that runs until September 10. After that date, there is no guarantee that the 18% rate will remain available.
Because of that, we do not think it would be responsible to build the future of the HEROES Treasury around a temporary promotional rate.
For now, we believe the best decision is to keep the remaining funds safely in the wallet and wait for more clarity.
This is a pause, not the end of the HEROES Treasury.
If a sustainable opportunity becomes available again, we will reassess the situation and keep the community fully informed.
